Thanksgiving feels a little different for me this year.
A year ago, I was deep in treatment for metaplastic triple negative breast cancer—the kind of cancer that makes even other cancers whisper, “Yikes.” I stepped completely away from the business I love, not because I wanted to, but because it was the only path to healing. And—by the grace of God, brilliant medical teams, and a whole lot of hope—I’m still here. I am grateful for every single day I get to wake up, breathe, think clearly, and do work that matters.
Coming back to IMS has been one of the great blessings of my life. While I was healing, our team didn’t just survive—they thrived. They held the line. They grew. They served our clients with excellence. And our clients… you stood by us in a year that could have knocked any business off its axis. Thank you hardly feels sufficient, but it’s what I have, and I mean it deeply.
And now? What a wild, fascinating, opportunity-filled time to be back in the digital marketing world.
Search is shifting faster than a teenager’s mood. AI is rewriting what’s possible for small firms. The economy and larger culture are in constant motion. And instead of being overwhelmed, we’re energized. Why? Because every shift is an opening—a chance to innovate, lead, and help estate planning, elder law, and probate firms serve families with more clarity, reach, and impact than ever before.
At IMS, we’re leaning in. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s meaningful. And because we’re grateful to be building the future together—with you, with our extraordinary team, and with a God who shows up in the details.
This Thanksgiving, my heart is full. Of gratitude. Of joy. Of anticipation. And of a renewed sense of purpose I don’t take for granted.
